MARSHALL, Texas (KETK) – The City of Marshall said on Thursday their water has been fully treated and disinfected after residents experienced water discoloration.
In an update the city released from the public works department, inclement weather they experienced earlier in the week has resulted in issues to the water treatment plants 70-year-old infrastructure.
“The issue stems from one of the clearwell depth readers which caused staff to pump some sediment from the bottom part of the clearwell,” officials said in a release. “The low-to-no water pressure residents may be experiencing is due to the reduced pumping to recover from the sediment issue.”
Officials said there is no contamination issue, and that public works staff are working to resolve the issue.
