Inpatient Services
Our expert staff does a full evaluation when an individual comes to Ethan Crossing Recovery to determine the best fit level of care. We offer all of the services needed right on our Indianapolis campus but separated from each other to ensure the focus is on the individual and their needs.
Substance Use Detox
The first step in addiction recovery and away from our other inpatient facilities, our clients can go through the detox process while being attended to by our licensed and qualified medical team and support staff.
Acute Psychiatric Inpatient
Even without a history of substance abuse, Ethan Crossing is here to help. Housed in a separated wing of the building we offer round-the-clock care and hospitalization for adults experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Residential Substance Abuse Treatment
With our residential substance use treatment we can give you the tools to begin to manage your addiction and identify and address any contributing factors to ensure that the likelihood of relapse is reduced. This intensive treatment option is ideal for patients who will benefit from a longer structured care setting and can include dual diagnosis treatment options.

Amazing staff. You can tell they care about if you are actually okay. They are more than willing to sit and talk to you. They don’t just act like you’re another patient. The food is amazing! I felt like the doctors and staff really listened to what I was saying and made me feel confident in my safety plan and future mental health plan. The beds were comfortable not just a small foam pad. Bathrooms and rooms were clean. The staff made you feel safe. Amazing landscape photography to help take your mind to another place. Not just blank walls. If you have a family member struggling with mental health I highly suggest this facility. Your family will be in great hands because I know I was!. Great, kind, and helpful staff? Check. The place is kept clean? Check. The doctor that cares and takes time to answer questions? Check. Food that is palatable? No. The food is great! Executive Chef in-house baby! Behavioral health facilities just evolved once this place opened. Felt more like a vacation staying there than it did a stay to get my brain chemicals right.

Absolutely wonderful facility. The facility itself is beautiful. They have a gym in the facility with more equipment than you would expect, the executive chef makes absolutely amazing meals–I have not seen food like this served in this type of setting in all my years working in this industry. They provide instruments in two separate music rooms including keyboards, guitar, and electric drum sets for the more artistically inclined clients to freely enjoy. I am so proud to be a part of such a caring staff and an amazing team!

This place definitely helped me. I recommend seeing the medical NP on staff there versus the actual psychiatrist. I really didn’t ENJOY my time being there (no one wants to actually check themselves into any place like this) but I needed to be there and they did what was needed. I’m clean and have developed new coping mechanisms that I forgot existed. The food wasn’t awful either. There were a lot of super friendly, compassionate nurses there who will listen when you need them to. Thank you guys!

Ethan’s Recovery is the best place for inpatient recovery. If you’re seriously ready to get your life back in order, this is your last stop. The staff care above their duty and respect more than I’ve ever cared to realize. It’s been a privilege to be among real humans that have hearts. The facility is very clean and the food is 5 Star. Your rooms and showers are impressive along with outdoor activities. Classes are taken seriously 3-4 time’s a day. To include extra personal needs are shopped for your consideration, but most are offered for your convenience.

Medical Detox
Medical detox is a supervised detoxification program for substance use disorder. A medical team is present 24/7 to help someone manage their withdrawal symptoms and monitor their physical and emotional health. Many substances lead to a dangerous detox so our medical teams are prepared to handle emergencies. Medications are administered to alleviate symptoms and keep someone from having an emergency.

Inpatient Residential Rehab
Upon successful completion of detox, many people move into residential care. This is when people use therapies to get to the root of their problem and help them heal. This includes private psychotherapy and group therapy. We teach them new coping skills and essentially prepare them for life outside of a drug and alcohol rehab setting.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP) - Coming Soon
For some people, the next step is partial hospitalization. This is where they spend the day at our facility and partake in our therapies and groups. We continue helping them with coping skills and healing from past issues. We also work on aftercare planning for when they no longer need to be in a facility. Each night, the person goes home and each morning they are submitted to a substance screening.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP) - Coming Soon
Intensive outpatient is for those who have left partial hospitalization and need a strong outpatient program. They come several times a week for group therapies, personal psychotherapy, and other support groups as needed. We also check in with them on how their new life is going and help them overcome issues that sometimes arise.
